The SKLZ Accelerator Pro putting mat with ball return enables golfers to practice three key putt lengths at home or in their office on a high-quality, true-roll putting surface. The nine-foot matt is equipped with back and through-stroke alignment guides to ensure perfect acceleration and distance control while maintaining a square face to the target. The mat features an uphill grade at the end that trains golfers to putt 18 inches past the hole in order to prevent short putts. With a gravity ball return that can be adjusted for each putt distance, the Accelerator Pro provides continuous practice. Somewhat contrary to what the box says, we put our very old Encyclopedia Britannica books to use to straighten the mat out flat in about two days. My husband plays golf to a seven handicap and has had experience with other putting devices of this type and rated the quality of materials and construction of the Accelerator Pro as good. He thought that the white line markings down the center were very helpful in tracking putts. Most importantly, because golf is a repetitive motion sport, this mat is a real aid to developing a putting stroke that becomes automatic. The continuous gravity ball return works fine, an improvement over another trainer we have that requires electricity. All of the information, diagrams and instructions regarding the Accelerator Pro are written on the storage box; there is no pocket pamphlet included, which might be helpful. There's nothing particularly fancy about this putting green, but it gets the job done. The surface putts nice and true and the pre-printed distance markers really help you think about what power you need at various distances. Furthermore, the gravity return of the ball is a nice touch, although I wish the return track ran out further as balls tend to spray out randomly if you are putting from the furthest distance. The mat rolls up easily for storage, making it ideal for use in a smaller space, or if you like to putt in your living room but don't want it out all the time.
